The Kellogg’s Corporate Responsibility Report:

Kellogg's Swim ActiveCorporate responsibility has always been at the foundation of the KelloggCompany and a key part ofour heritage and culture. More than a century after our founding, we remain a company consumers rely on to provide consistent, high-quality, great-tasting foods. Now more than ever, it’s important to do so while minimizing environmental impacts and positively addressing global challenges. Stakeholders like you expect it of us – and we expect it of ourselves.

To demonstrate our company’s collective progress and commitment, we’ve prepared our first global Corporate Responsibility Report, a comprehensive and transparent account of our progress, challenges and future direction. The report covers the following topics in four key areas including Community, which I know is a key area of focus for you:

  • Community: strategic corporate philanthropy, volunteerism and community development including details on our Breakfast Club partnership with ContinYou which has seen us invest more than £1m to establish hundreds of pre-school breakfast clubs that serve over 500,000 morning meals to young people every year.  It also outlines our £3m partnership with the Amateur Swimming Association which aims to encourage people to take up swimming as part of an active lifestyle.
  • Marketplace: health and nutrition, responsible marketing, consumer information and labelling, product quality and food safety, responsible sourcing, supplier diversity;
  • Workplace: culture, diversity and inclusion, occupational health and safety, labour standards;
  • Environment: reducing our environmental impact by decreasing energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, water use, waste and packaging and increasing our understanding of sustainable agriculture; and

This is a global report and, due to limited space, we were not able to include all examples of the work we’re doing here in the UK .  You can find more information on other Kellogg’s Community initiatives by visiting www.kellogg.co.uk/company/corporateresponsibility/intiatives.aspx

Looking ahead, Kellogg will be further defining its objectives and metrics in each of these four areas. We are pleased to report on our efforts so far and look forward to sharing our progress with you in future reports.

We invite you to view the Kellogg Company Corporate Responsibility Report and the Executive Summary at www.kelloggcompany.com/CR. To request a printed Executive Summary, please e-mail corporateresponsibility@kellogg.com
