Club Dragon Mark is designed specifically for all aquatics clubs affiliated to Swim Wales.
Through the following simple three step process, your regional development officer (RDO) will help your club develop:
- Gap Analysis – A Yes/No Audit that you conduct with your RDO to assess the present gaps in best practice and areas to address
- Portfolio Building – Through a simply structured skeleton portfolio your club can develop specific plans to improve locally.
- Scoring Report – Following the submission of your portfolio your RDO will compile a scoring report based on the Dragonmark criteria to support ongoing annual reviews of your club’s development.
The Dragonmark criteria break down into four simple modules.
- Administration and Strategic Management (ADM)
- Athlete Development (which is specific to each discipline e.g. Water Polo) (ADP)
- Work force Development and Management (WDM)
- Strategic Alliances and partnerships (SDP)
The process covers all the operations of the club and processes involved in the delivery of a high quality club programme with examples of good practice and transparent policies.
Additional information to support applications can be found in the club resource pack already circulated to club secretaries.
