Core award

CLUB DRAGON MARK
Club Dragon Mark is specifically designed for all clubs affiliated to Swim Wales.
Club Dragon Mark covers three areas:-
1.    Core Award – Club Management
2.    Swimmer Pathway – Discipline Specific
a.    Competitive Swimming
b.    Masters Swimming
c.    Water Polo
Please note modules for Diving and Synchronised Swimming will be developed in the future.
3.    Club Performance – Competitive Swimming.
The process in each section is broken down into manageable steps, and your Regional Development Officer will be available to visit your club and explain the process.
First Step is an audit of where the club is currently at. This then identifies gaps in best practise and areas to be addressed.
Club Management is brocken down into Administration and Strategic Management (ADM); Workforce Development and Management (WDM); Strategic Alliances and Partnerships (SAP). This is evidenced by the portfolio that the club will produce. Swim Wales has support resources to make the process as straightforward as possible.
The Swimmer Pathway is again evidenced by a portfolio, which will be in line with Long Term Athlete Development for training and competition.
Club Performance – Competitive Swimming, is an annual audit of the competitive results for the season from September 1st to August 31st, which recognises the success of the club.
On achievement of Dragon mark, the club will be presented with a plaque, and will be able to use the Dragon Mark Logo on stationary, web site, notice boards etc.
